The art deco style Carlyle involved the full renovation of an existing tower block within central London. The property had been neglected and required a complete refurbishment of all services and finishes to transform the block into 12 serviced apartments.
The client was the proprietor of the building who resided overseas and had appointed a local project management firm to run the development. We were appointed as the Project Quantity Surveyor and were responsible for drafting the scope of works, splitting this into individual work packages and then procuring appropriate contractors.
Throughout the project we managed the value engineering process, budget tracking, and monthly valuations against the individual work packages.
Our expertise and experience enabled us to provide additional support to the role of Contract Administrator, which allowed us to work with the project management firm to protect the interests of the project and our mutual client.
